As summer gives way to fall, this seems like a good time for distributing an updated Directory. It's attached. There have been a substantial number of revisions since the most recent distribution. The next printed version will be available next March after committee clerks are in place.

It's official!! The BYM Women's Retreat will have a one-day in-person and hybrid (via Zoom) gathering this Fall. Mark your calendars for Saturday, October 8th, from 10am-6pm at Adelphi Friends Meeting. Registration address is below.
We know we would all like for Covid to be over and our regular winter weekend gathering to happen, but this is the most we feel comfortable offering at this time. Let's make the most of it together!
Thanks to BYM staff for helping to clear the date, and to Adelphi women for agreeing to be our hosts.
The day will include worship, worship sharing, chanting, perhaps a few workshops, BYO bag lunch, and hopefully a few pre-planned coffeehouse acts. We are looking for women to help with the following opportunities:

Friends, this is a quick reminder and update from the Care and Counsel committee that a Memorial Meeting for Worship for Jules Arginteanu will be held at 4500 Kensington Avenue at 3 p.m. on Saturday, October 1, 2022.

The Historical Jesus Study Group
The study group will meet via Zoom to discuss books about the historical Jesus authored by the biblical scholar Bart Ehrman. Each meeting will cover one book. Sample book titles are ‘Misquoting Jesus,’ ‘Jesus Before the Gospels,’ and ‘How Jesus Became God.’ The study group will decide together how often to meet and discussions may explore the difference that concepts of the historical Jesus make to one’s own spirituality.

Saturday, October 1 Fall Gathering at the Garrett Family’s backyard 9:30-11:30. Families with children, as well as the adults that have been working with the children in RE, are invited to come play in the yard, and get to know each other better. Newcomers welcome! Please bring your own snacks and water. Contact Shannon Garrett if you have any questions.
Sunday, October 2 Katy Will will lead yoga for Prek/K and Early Elementary classes. The oldest class will meet in their classroom with Joe and Julia this Sunday.
Sunday, October 16 Faith and Play session for children of all ages during Meeting. Sunday, October 30 Sinuda Kapalcznski will lead a cultural learning session with the children sharing from her Haudenosaunee (Mohawk) heritage.
Sundays October 9 and 23 will be traditional age-level small group lessons.
Looking ahead! We plan to have the children’s meeting at The Clearing the First Sunday of November (Nov. 6).
